Associate Artistic Director, Theatre for a New Audience 2007-2017
Worked for a decade as the associate artistic director at TFANA, an award-winning off-Broadway company whose mission is to develop and vitalize the performance and study of Shakespeare and classic drama alongside great new work. 

Volunteer, Rehabilitation for the Arts 2007 – 2012
In association with Rehabilitation for the Arts, Arbus led a theater group of prisoners for six years at Woodbourne Correctional Facility, a medium security prison in upstate New York. Directed productions and led workshops on playing Shakespeare, playwriting and theater history.

Teaching and University work 2012 - 2022
Directed productions and taught classes at Yale School of Drama, Juilliard, NYU Grad Acting, Columbia University and The New School.
